It's all straightforward. It's another contest where eight newly shaped groups, addressing seven urban communities from around the UK, go up against one another. Each group has both a people's side.

The arrangement of matches? That is straightforward as well: 100 balls for each group, most runs wins.

Each group will meet each other once, aside from their matched 'rivals', whom they meet twice (home and away).

There will be 32 alliance matches altogether, with the main three finishers contending in the Finals Day (top group consequently arrives at the last, with second versus third for the other spot in the last).

Aside from the initial two matches, every day will start with a ladies' match trailed by a men's match.
